well well what a bloody hot welcoming i have had hear in Adelaide, its so stinking hot here. i am feeling quite weird at the moment, bit sad about leaving melb, abit excited about seeing family abit overwhelmed about being here, anxious and all that stuff. think its gonna take me a while to get my head around all this. happy times though.
so i had to get my car towed away to the wreckers before i left, oh and she aint coming back this time. its always a sad time for me, but the fact that it had turned into a piece of shit, kind of made it easier to say goodbye. actually had to pay someone to take it but hey, whatever trevor kate
Had a small goodbye drinks thing on my lastnight, it was very sweet and J had made me a delicious bday cake, oh how delightful she is...... had balloons and everything. Hated the goodbyes oh i miss those guys. must away got a carrot to munch on, oh hilarious.
My dad is happy i am not a Vic anymore, oh bless him xx
(I WROTE THIS THE OTHER DAY BUT FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON IT DIDNT PUBLISH SO ERE IT IS)

oh sorry Leesh, didnt give much of an update. umm well my weekend kind of flew. i had some drinkies with Bee and D, at home, not planning the biggest night as had intentions of that for Saturday night. But now we look back on it and try and fit the night together, yeah we got a litte crazy, i really love having some nights at home like that, who needs to go out when ya got a dance floor right at home, i said crank it! Dont knowif there was much dancing happening this particular night but i see shot, and cask wine, and a whole lot of trouble! We were going to head into town to find J but she bet us home and she was too much fun to leave. We ended up getting some microwaved food from the Sev and scooting B home. Then my Saturday was spent lounging around, resting and semi cleaning. I swear never to watch a rockEstedford again, boring.... Didint end up leaving the hose later that night as we were all out of it until about midnight(where i was woken on the floor to loud firworks going off just over our back fence-scared us to death) when we got our second wind, but decided to stay in and save ourselves for shopping the next day.
Shopped all day, nearly dropped... Then had a wicked BBQ Sunday night, finished off the cask. oh twas fun, and gonna miss them guys so much, boo hoo cry cry :(
til next time xx

2 more sleeps
only two more days left until i leave this great city i have called home for over two years, and its all a little overwhelming.oh this little chook has so much to do.
so between the garbage bags of trash and boxes filled with too much stuff to transport to Adelaide, i have managed to get some minging around Melbourne streets in, and all the glamorous things associated with it. Yesterday i went in to the city for some final Christmas shopping with Bee. We realsied that it was in fact the first time we have done a shop through out the city together, hmm strange. There is still so much i havent done to death here yet, i guess that is the reason i am set on coming back here one day. So many things to do, places to go and people to see.
oh my gosh i had some celebrity sightings today, oh of course i had to have some before here. dont you hate when you see someone that you swear you know, and then it clicks...umm they are off an Australian soap or reality tv show! at least they arent off the some public transport you catch or serve you at Safers as has happened to us all before i am sure.
I saw some guy on a motor bike, with a santas hat over his helmet, oh how i smiled. i am not a fan of the checkout chicks who wear hats or reindeer ears or christmas halo, i mean if its the bosses order i will let it slide, but sometimes i am sure they enjoy wearing them a little too much! it aint so cool lovies, let me make that clear.
made some more pressies, very impressive, i do surprise myself sometimes.
Got a little pissed at this chick today that picked up this cute OliveOyle top that i was kind of eyeing off, and she says to the girl behind the counter as she goes to buy it,who is that cartoon of, oh i stormed out, unimpressed. i bought new shoes yesterday so....over it. got some cute pink suede shoes with brown stitching, almost Mary jane like but i have been told...much fuckin cooler! got a little criss crossing with the straps happening oh glorious glorios, curse my supposed friend who mentioned clogs when i wore them, love you to death babe but get a clue :)
anyway i have to pack, oh i need to put some motivation in my pipe and smoke it!! maybe do a little in each Survivor ad break, yeah yeah

??
ok so my taxi driver just had me visualising my inner child in my arms and gave me an excercise to do to sort out my priorities and work on developing "spiritually", and it cost me nothing, no time, no money, no effort!!(he says like he is reading cue cards from late night telly ads) umm excuse me how bout the 27 bucks in cab fare i just forked out? lordie lordie it was one hell of an intense ride home and might take me a few hours to digest all the wisdom and spiritual guidance i swallowed tonight. He really was a lovely man and at least he wasnt stroking my chest, after i launched my body from the back seat to the front seat in minus 2 seconds!!

Hey Leesha, its ya birthday...... oh happy day to you and have a wickedy wild day. i can picture your work desk being empty today!

I scream 4 icecream
oh I forgot to mention lastnight,I may have made a little too much eye contact with a fellow bike rider on the train yesterday, because as he was exiting the train he swung his head in my direction, raised his right hand and gave my a salute, like a sailors wave!! how hilarious, and he was so old, he had a basket though which I am thinking is a tops idea. Didnt battle the bike today as it was extremely hot! Oh don't even go there....Very warm in deed

We have an advent calendar in da house, you heard it....In da houz! T U R T L E turtle, I mean how cool is a ninja calendar to lead us to Christmas day, delivering chocolates daily...And we are up to the 9th day so we had some catching up to do...It aint no SwissChalet but I no complain

ding ding coming through

ok so my day started early as today as i had to get up at 530 in order to catch the train to make it to work on time, which is ridiculously early enough as is. I was with out my dear scooter and so i was offered J's bike, as its a fair distance from train staion to my work, and thought it was a good idea. i am feeling a litlle sort today and think an early night is in order. I was a little scared when she mentioned gears, what?? what about auto?and a little discouraged when she gave me her helmet, not keen on having helmet hair so early on in the day... And then i had to catch the train, which is still a new thing for me. Buy a ticket for the bike?? ha, that aint mine!
I made it to work alright and feeling quite energised and fresh. Feeling some internal bruising!wont go into that yuk, like watching shows on plastic surgery aint giving away too much information, nobody needs to hear it from me.
The train ride home was umm interesting... I was a little nervous about wheeling a big ass bike into a carrage knowing that there would be more people on at that time of day.Found a seat and ate my almond/apricot bar in the dodgy end of the carrage. I'm not sure about everyone sharing newpapers. I had to deal with the man sitting in front of me with short shorts on, had to deal punks heading home from the beach thinking its ok to come in dripping wet, had to deal with the fact that other people were all glammed up heading in to town and i looked like sheit, dealt with the fact that the spunk across fromme withhis bike-looked so much cooler that i did, had to deal with the bike running over my foot, over and over again but hey good did come from this little ride from Sandy to the heart of all things funky and stylish, there was a busker on my train. and how polite he was, he asked all if anyone minded him banging out some tunes, well i didn't...think his song selection could've been a lot more appropriate and less dreery. Hope it was worth the coins the bogan threw in to his hat.
Just realised the Survivor Finale is on the same night i was planning to trek it home, might be changing those plans....
Had a sad moment today when i told the boys i look after that i was leaving this week, oh yeah tears were a streaming :( kinda made it a big reality. he also asked if the straps he could see hanging out from my singlet straps, were my bathers, and when i explained that they were infact my bra straps, he told me i didnt need them because my (.)(.) weren't long, they were short! oh he makes my heart feel better.

think i need some shut eye, yeah yeah thats for sure

Althought my day was productive and very peaceful i am getting abit over it and am starting to become bored, there is only so much prepacking and hand sewing one girl can handle in a day. i await the return of flatmates, so i can hear all about their fun filled day of roadtripping and cycling fun.

i got to watch SpiritedAway, which embarassingly was my first time, i always had intention but think it was brought up to much and i felt too much pressure to watch it...and love it. but i did. i was disturbed by some parts of it but overall found it beautiful, very beautiful infact. i am thinking it can jump the cue and go right on up to the front of the class. i want to be Chihiro!!

ok so i got bailed on lastnight but still managed to catch up with Bee, for some takeout and some champaigne.Didint get out of control at all which was half disappointing but knowing if it did we would've left the house and spent money that neither can afford right now as we are both without a home in the not too distant future. Was good to spend some chit chat time together with her before i go.She has some big things happening next year and is warming up her passport which is good motivation for me.I am really looking forward to being in Adelaide for awhile to spend time with the ones i miss everyday but also look forwad to saving some dosh and then sending emails and love form the other side of the world. With my 24th birthday coming up i am reminded that time is running out, well a slight exaggeration but hey i do that sometimes.ha never ever EVER!!

yay she's home, gotta go eat some cherries, who goes to a cherry farm anyway??, sound like a perfect day really.

four more days of work left, feeling very happy about that :)

hohoho

Theres something about seeing my first Santa for the year that gives me warm fuzzies and delievers a sense of relief that the year is nearly over, and a new one full of new begginings is just around the corner. am already seeing the year 2004 as an exciting one.The Santa i saw yesterday was a good one, the one that i saw five minutes later in another store, however, was not such an authentic looking one, ummm i would say dodgy. But if its filling childrens faces with a smile and their soul with christmas joy, who am i too take any of that away? i was making some decorations with the boys that i look after the other day, whils listening to a christmas cd, they were having the best time ever, and no i didnt have a santa hat or reindeer ears on, and the 5yr old said to me "maybe when you get older and want to have a baby, then you could kiss Santa Clause" very disturbing yet sweet suggestion, thanks babe

I love the fact that i was woken up when my flatmate got home lastnight, by her coming in to share a story about a lobster with me. She was adorable and my night wouldn't have been complete without this little early morning outburst.i feel that is usually me that is acting inappropriately to her when i have been out all night, so am glad she got to share this with me before my time in this glorious house is up. J you must always share those choc banana icecream moments with me xx

i got a little crafty this afternoon, and am knocking up some pressies.Am hoping they turn out as well as i anticipate, and am sure that since i picked something very basic,i cant really go wrong. If i didnt need my fingers for some serious threading, i would have them crossed.

Am pretty sure i need to vaccum this floor and get somethings organised before i have some friends over, so yeah....1st step have another drink....

sucker love is heaven sent

ok so i went for a stroll to Borders lastnight, which was a first for me, oh excluding the time i was seeking a childrens bible and walked out of there with a Dr Seuss diary, and although the smell of coffee was everywhere i still had fun. we sat and read magazines that i never have to pay for,how good is that!! i had to refrain from ripping out the articles that i wanted(lets face it it aint the doctors surgery) and not rub the latest fragrences on my wrist, trashy i know but hey i'm a sucker. i'm not sure i enjoyed the company of those surrounding us,mr "talk too loud on the fone to his wife" its practically a library so hush it dude. i hope they enjoyed the violating topics my friend and i talked about :)

i then left to spend my last $4 on a nose stud that i desperately needed, and the sales chick thought that since we looked at these metal claws, in disbelief that they people actually by them, that she had better give us a demo. no way it was disturbing.got my job done and got outta there and there shouldnt be too much long term damage.

so got tomorrow and weekend of and should really be using my time wisely and getting organised for my big move, but hey i am pretty sure i will just minge around, well tomorrow at least. Am finding it hard to deal with the fact that i am leaving Melbourne and all the glory that has come with it. gonna miss some people beyond belief........

I am feeling relieved that my mobile is still working after i put it through the washing machine today. Total cycle and everything. Damne me and my domestic ways,
guess if my phone survives a Friday night in my handbag, it could live through anything.

nighty night xx

did someone say the E word?

oh lordy, driving home from work tonight,a drive that usually sends me to sleep like a lullabye, tonight made my day. oh happy day :D
i saw a bearded man with black pony tail, wearing tincy denim shorts, a beer singlet and strutting his stuff grasping a fantabulous handbag. And while being disturbingly violated by a sign, that must be new as it wouldn't have been unnoticed i assure you, simply reads.......EGG unlimited!!! i am sure its a great business or what have you but hey, i dont 'do' eggs, and am feeling quite queezy and uneasy about that word being used so confidently in my n.hood, yuk yuk. i might have to move interstate!

All i achieved tonight is a load of washing that since it aint stinking hot this evening, i therefore dont feel any guilt about stuffing it all in the dryer. Welcome to my laundramat. i also did a stroll to the s.market to buy some very low in nutritional value food, but hey damne those cookies were good. Also discovered a new type of starburst, very nice. not vegetarian friendly sorry, oh boo hoo cry cry more for me

am jealous my housemate is asleep on the couch, looking as dreamy as ever.
