OK so i have become obsessed with this television series here, Rock Star INXS, i love love love it. Terrence Trent Sign You Name Across My Heart obviously didnt make it as the bands new lead singer, (was that true or did i dream that whole thing up) as they are in America, still searching for that special someone. I havent herad if its showing in Aust. It is the same concept as the Idol show, but cool. very very cool. I mean instead of those skitsy judges, this show has Dave Navaro, i mean c'mon........ any man that can make a fur jacket look THAT cool, deserves my undivided attention two nights a week. other then that summer telly is the pits.
Summer here is brutal...
Nearly 10 months into my stay here and i still have yet to do my compulsary schooling hours, like that was part of the deal or somehting. pfft. excuse me excuse me, what do you mean its typically me to leave it to the last minute?.. .. .. .. .. hey its gonna happen.... but i think i have desiced that it would be nicest to study (Spanish) in the fall time, how nice would that be? And as i am staying for another year (still waiting to get Visa extended, so wont breathe easy til that in my hand) i will just do it continuously over 9-12 months, which will hopefully help this old head at retaining some of the information i learn. I am actually really excited about learing to speak Spanish. Its all around me. It suprisingly doesnt bother me when people speak Spanish around me, as it just means i dont have to pretend to care about what they are saying, which is dandy. Tho i do pretend i know what they are saying....
i am finally going to sart planning a weekend trip to Pittsburg, to see a friend that i met years ago in melbourne. Some time before the summer is over i think. its really not too far away so hopefully i realise how easy it is and end up doing a few trips her way before my second year here is up. I have also been talking about some other getaways which will hopefull happen, one including a tiny trip to El Salvador, which may or may not but sounds like great madness fun. has to be done before October. and how many more trips back to NYC can i get in before Oct 2006??? only new york city and i know.....
